KHA(0)

Commissioned for the inaugural episode of INTERMISSION, the off-site public programme from Camden Art Centre.

KHA(0) brings together experimental sound, spoken word and moving image within a site-specific installation that also incorporates archival footage. The work traces parallels between the winter of 1979–80, at the start of Margaret Thatcher’s premiership, and 2019–20, reflecting on shifting political and urban conditions.

It considers urban space in transition—from the abandoned punk environments of the late 1970s to the emptied, high-end landscapes of the present.
