Isadora Darke’s practice works with image as a process rather than a fixed form. Across painting, moving image and installation, her work explores how perception shifts when images are exposed to material forces that resist resolution.

Working with ink, analogue film, projection systems and constructed environments, she develops processes where instability is not represented but produced. Images emerge through behaviours such as bleed, feedback, erosion and error, where formation and breakdown occur simultaneously.

This approach moves away from image as a site of clarity or narrative, towards image as a condition in flux — shaped by duration, interference and material resistance.

Her work has been exhibited at Camden Arts Centre, MK Gallery, KARST and De La Warr Pavilion, and featured in The Quietus and Creative Review.
